Float Away!

Who knew plastic floats are the new must have summer accessory for your pool? Create Instgram-worthy shots this summer at the beach or pool with your fun floats! Move over swan, you've got some yummy competition. Have you seen the photos of Patricia Altschul's Pink Flamingo float party in downtown Historic Charleston that were inspired by her flamingo float?

Green Driveways {Pavers + Grass}

I always remember some of the beautiful green driveways in Palm Beach. When you think about how much space a driveway takes up in the yard and many times it's just simple concrete. These "living" driveways take curb appeal to he next level. Not only aestheticlly pleasing, they are functional in that they can reduce heat & glare and can be functional in which they can let rain pass through to the ground underneath reducing runoff that can make your yard dirty and soggy.

Here are some amazing designs from South Florida firm Southwest Greens that uses golf course quality synthetic turf between the pavers for a lush, but low maintenace look.

Few more vendors who use artificial turf

Aren't these are all so pretty? Would you be scared to drive on them?

Outdoor Wreaths Made With Backyard Goodies

Happy Friday! I wanted to share a few pictures of what I worked on this week! I got some of the plain $10 live wreaths from Home Depot, and went exploring in my back yard and found some fun stuff to "spruce" it up. I found some pine cones, greenery from our cypress trees, some holly and red berries. The moss was the only thing not growing in our backyard, but it is this neat looking reindeer type moss (but it's hard not soft), my mom and I found on the side of the road back in the summer in NC. I kept the bows that came with it since these will hang on each side of my mailbox stand and be exposed to the elements. I just hot glued and added the items! A quick and easy way to spruce up a simple wreath.

Backyard Beauty

Today I finally downloaded the much anticipated Android app, Instagram. I was playing outside with my little doggie so decided to take a few pictures of my backyard before the rain came! Spring is here!! I just planted the flowers last weekend so the rain should definitely help!
