Iris Apfel's Epic 800 Item Collection on One Kings Lane

I was so excited when I read that One Kings Lane will be selling around 800 pieces of her epic collection of vintage jewelry, furniture and accessories of the legendary decorator and stylist icon, Iris Apfel, this Saturday starting at noon. I am sure the traffic and anticipation could cause delays or crashes but I can't wait to see what all is listed. Apfel was an avid traveler and it's said this sale will feature finds she picked up at Paris flea markets in the '40s, souks in Marrakech in the 60s, the square in Santa Fe in the '70s, among others.

Apfel believes, "fashion and décor are one and the same; One you're dressing yourself and the other you’re dressing the room. And, with myself I'm not changing my personality whether I'm in a room or in a dress. The same attitude applies — it's more of a lifestyle."

I did a post in May 2011 showing the interior of your Manhatten apartment and added some more of those pictures below. Wonder if any of these items will be in the sale? Looks like one of the black necklaces previewed below might be in the last picture with the dog.

Here is a sneak peak teaser of 12 of the 800 items for the sale from Elle Decor!
