Great Neutral Paint Colors

One of the hardest things for me is getting the perfect paint color. I look at the samples in all different lights. Then as soon as its mixed, I think the color is different on top of the can. But I know, you must let it dry first before you can make any decisions. When amazing designers kindly announce their tried and true tested colors....I am all ears! Decorating with Maps

Over the past few years, I have come across some amazing ideas using maps as wallpaper, decoupaged into drawers, ceilings and trays, or framed as artwork. You can use pastel blue maps for a pastel accent, vintage maps for a bold statement or nautical maps for a masculine effect. 

The most fun part is finding good maps to use. 

You can find maps at antique stores, flea markets, ebay, or even use wrapping paper.

Color and Coral and Books, Oh My!

I came across this designer from a photo on House of Turquoise, and loved her sublte use of color through accessories, and her use corals, books and flowers. Check her out..Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors. 

I absolutely love this!

I am a big fan of corals and coffee table books.

I love the subtle use of orange and using only blue books as a balance on the shelves.

Notice the Natural Curiosities octopus on left wall, and subtle pink using a book and throw.
