Coral Ikat Goodness in Palm Beach

House Beautiful featured the beautiful work of interior designer, T. Keller Donovan who gives us a fun, coral ikat explosion in this preppy Palm Beach apartment. So many feminine touches are seen throughout, from the ribbon and bow flourishes on the chairs and headboard, feminine valances to the floral prints and skirted furniture. The owner, Kay Gilman was the first female sportswriter for the NY Daily News and has downsized from her NYC apartment to a one bedroom condo in Palm Beach Towers. Pops of color are shown throughout with lots of Quadrille's Island Ikat giving the space the feel of "a tropical cabana." Something interesting I saw was her use of trays under coffee tables act as catchalls for magazines, books, etc. 

Colorful Cottage

I happened to come across this amazing waterfront cottage at Lake Simcoe from Style At Home that used blue, white and coral color scheme everywhere from the interiors and accessories to the outside. The basic scheme is blue and white with coral accessories thrown in...from pillows, blankets, flowers. I just love all of these!

Blue lounge chairs are shaded by perfectly places coral umbrellas and coral striped towels. Do the drinks come with coral colored umbrellas too?

Color and Coral and Books, Oh My!

I came across this designer from a photo on House of Turquoise, and loved her sublte use of color through accessories, and her use corals, books and flowers. Check her out..Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors.

I am a big fan of corals and coffee table books.

I love the subtle use of orange and using only blue books as a balance on the shelves.

Notice the Natural Curiosities octopus on left wall, and subtle pink using a book and throw.
