Michael Phelps Bachelor Pad

Not sure how much posting I will be doing over the next 2 weeks with the Olympics on tv! I am just addicted and have to watch every night! I even have been trying to avoid news sites so there won't be any spoilers for me!

In honor of Olympic mania at my  house, today I am featuring the townhouse of Michael Phelps in Baltimore, Maryland that sits on the Harborfront in Fells Point. Actually his townhouse just sold at the end of June, but this previously was his house that he purchased in 2007. So the big question is, where will his next bachelor pad be?

I have lobsters on the brain! I booked the hotel for my friends October wedding at Boothbay Harbor in Maine and I am so excited! I wanted to feature these awesome bone carving crustaceans...the lobster and crab! I love all the detail that goes into these! These look great on coastal decorated hutches, on side tables, atop books, on a desk or bookshelf!

Bedroom Updates with Color & Accessories

One of my readers contacted me about a some ideas for her updating her bedroom. She has a pink damask duvet but wanted to create a new look her in bedroom using some fun pillows in different patterns! I created a few boards for her using her pink damask paired different colors, pillows and accessories. When updating a bedroom Etsy always has great pillows in assorted colors! I think places like Home Goods, Z Gallerie, and Ikea, can make fun place to treasure hunt for inexpensive lamps and fun colorful accessories.

In my guest bedroom which is one of my favorite rooms in my house, I have a white matelasse coverlet and 2 large scalloped matching Euro Pillows, then from there I can add fun pillows, blanket or duvet folded at the foot of the bed. This is another way to update a room but keep existing duvet you have and work around it.

Here the white matelasse coverlet is used with the folded duvet at the foot of the bed by Katie Rosenfeld Design

Suellen Gregory

I came across this fab outdoor bar at Design Darling from Suellen Gregory and wanted to share some more great work from this fabulous Richmond designer! Some of these images may look familiar as she has been featured in Veranda, Trad Home, R Home, and more! I just love her use of color, patterns and great styling!
