Vintage Inspired Home Finds on Etsy

Playing on Etsy can be just as addictive as playing on Pinterest. When I am on Etsy I love to check my favorite stores first to see any new great items! My new thing I am doing is looking at my favorite stores list of their favorites sellers! This new method has definitely increased my new favorites list threefold.

Now, to the good stuff....Here were some great finds I found this week and created an inspiration board for Vintage French living room complete with cute accessories! If you like any of the items, the direct links for each are below!

What items do you love to look on Etsy for? Who is your favorite seller?

Sticky Wallpaper

I came across this amazing girl, Payton Turner who makes wallpaper from something very unexpected...more about that below! Thanks to The Blue House for featuring this talented young artist.

Another version of her wallpaper in a bedroom

Close up of the patterns and differing designs

And what does she use??? Thousands of hand applied, strategically placed stickers!

Very close up....she uses stickers for her designs!

Another close up, almost like a sticker kaleidoscope. Kittens, polar bears, broccoli and paint..oh my!

After a few years of being a sticker collector (or more commonly known as hoarder nowadays), who knew I could have used the multitude of stickers I had from my sticker books to make a piece of art. Here is a smaller piece completed by Jill at The Blue House customized with her name.

Customized sticker collage in the form of a print (little less work than doing entire walls)!

Gorgeous Table Settings

While we still have Labor Day weekend and a few weeks left of Summer, officially Fall starts September 23rd. Why not have an extra special party while the weather is nice, and add a special touch with a nice table setting. Which one is your favorite? What is your must for a perfect tablesetting?

Love everything about this, from the pink bamboo chairs, the quadrille fabric running vertically to the slight turquoise accents using linen napkins and glasses from Eddie Ross

Love the teal plates and glassware with the pop of color from these bright purple flowers from the Blue House

This image really makes me smile, not sure if its the abundance of candy that I have a weakness for, or the greek key plates, or how the placemats, napkins and plates are inverted and mixed from Iconic blog

Colorful table setting with colorful accents with paper lanterns, colorful paisley tablecloth, colorful flowers, and mini bottles from CL.

Love the turquoise and pink colors accented with gold chargers and flatware for vintage feel from Sitting in a Tree events

One of my favorite table settings from Flair book. I love the red, white and blue themed that would be perfect for those patriotic holiday parties, or for an upscale Lobster party, or clam bake.

Red Coral themed table setting easy is great for summer parties from Sandra Lee

These red spray painted branches in a white vase look like large pieces of coral that can be made for a Red coral table setting from an Oscar de la Renta party in NYC.

Blue and white coastal themed setting with mini orchids potted in shells, shells and flowers floating in water and light blue plates with simple shell on top from CL.

Beautiful and cheery yellow and white table setting with the use of white and yellow orchids, lots of little white vases, scattered coral and yellow grosgrain trimmed napkin with simple flower stem tucked in.

Neutral elements with the jute place mats, bamboo silverware and rope wrapped buckets are offset by the pop of color from the green mums and yellow daffodils and scattered shells and coral.

This natural themed table settings includes ferns, mosses and twigs from 100 Layer Cake

Flair Book from LA based designer, Joe Nye has great ideas for entertaining and gorgeous table settings.

Labor Day Whites

In  honor of Labor Day and many saying goodbye to their favorite whites (especially my white jeans). I wanted to feature some all white interiors! Do you find all white interiors clean and crisp, or just too stark and void of color? What rooms do you like white for the best?

All white seating area and loving the wall of art

When one farmhouse white porcelain sink, won't do...add another!

Love the white wood plank flooring

Solid white nursery

All white bathrooms look so clean from Brooks & Falotico

Painting Architectural Details

I have collected images where paint was used to either highlight nice architectural details, or paint is used to "mimic" these architectural details. Either way, these are ways to highlight or add some nice features.

Love the blue trim against the sand colored grass paper.

Darker trim around the cabinets, baseboards and windows highlights the details from Coastal Living

Built in closet doors painted with white trim from Lonny

Frames and Headboard like architectural details made from contact paper-DIY tutorial here

Light gray painted on the door for emphasis on door panels

{Please note a few of these pictures have been saved on my external hard drive before I began blogging, and I don't have the source of some of the pictures. If you know the origin, let me know and I will reference these.}

Herringbone Floors

I have always loved the look of Herringbone floors since it gives a nice pattern to flooring, whether its wood, marble, painted or stained. The pattern is like little arrows drawing me in to the space! I read somewhere this style once was used in the most prestigious castles in Europe!

This striped marble in herringbone is one of my favorites!

Stained hardwoods with herringbone pattern to mimic an area rug

Vintage floors with the great architecture, this must be European

Another look with marble. Love the clean look of the white marble in the herringbone style
